Indie is so back’ is a saying I’ve been saying a lot recently. It’s hard not to when the indie scene is the best it’s been in the last 20 years, and this year’s addition of Liverpool’s Sound City had some of the hottest and most talked about indie bands and artists entering the stage.

The first thing I said when listening to the shimmering, heart-bruised disco daydream, Kiss All the Time, Disco Occasionally, was: how is this making me so nostalgic when it’s the first time I’m hearing it?  

We sat down with Leeds-based producer and DJ ‘GAWP’ to talk about dedicating his life to music, his role in efforts to keep the nightlife scene alive, and his advice to up-and-coming artists.
