Emerging actors are often discussed in terms of where their careers might lead. More revealing, however, is the work they are already producing and the artistic concerns that begin to emerge across it. What distinguishes American actor Ethan McKinney, a London-based graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts with further classical training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), is not simply the variety of material he has undertaken, but the consistency with which his performances return to questions of identity, contradiction and transformation.

Born from a spontaneous creative connection between its members, Pink Juice is a project built around experimentation and artistic freedom. What started as a temporary collaboration in a makeshift studio quickly evolved into a complete creative space, where they developed their own sound and artistic identity.

There are few artists that can make a small, intimate concert venue feel like a home, surrounded by strangers that feel like friends and family you have known your whole life. Though I suppose that is just the effect Benjamin Steer has.

With a stage set up like a forest, and various supporting musicians and a small choir, Kennedy created a rich backdrop that perfectly complemented his emotional songs.

With his theatrical flair and addictive blend of indie rock and pop, he immediately stood out as an artist worth keeping an eye on. Over the past two years, Matt has built a dedicated following through his live shows and the EPs Kingdom Of You & Me (2024) and Dark Enough To See (2025), most recently followed by Secrets From The First Floor (2026), a vinyl record that brings both projects together alongside two new songs.

I got to attend Ruby Roberts’ show at Oslo in Hackney this Thursday, and right from the start I knew I was in for a treat. Despite it being a small venue, the energy was electric and the attendees were pumped up.
