Rising Yorkshire artist Fiona-Lee has released her striking new single “Imposter”, out now via Gravity / Capitol Records. Premiered on BBC Radio 1 and spotlighted as a Next Wave pick by Sian Eleri, the track arrives as the follow-up to September’s “Victim” and lands on the same night as her sold-out debut UK headline show at Leeds’ Oporto.
Radiohead brought their long-awaited comeback to London’s O2 Arena for four nights between November 21 and 25. It’s been 10 years since we received any new material and 99 months (an interesting way of phrasing time now) since their last live performances. The show was nothing short of musical mastery, with the band seeming more cohesive than I anticipated after a long break, reminding me just why they are the best at what they do.
On the 24th of November, Alessi Rose brought a euphoric, ultra-feminine energy to the O2 Forum Kentish Town with the first London night of The Voyeur Tour.
Isaac Anderson brought a burst of energy to Cracow’s Zaścianek on November 24th, turning a regular Monday evening into a night full of connection and genuinely good music.
While there was little audience interaction, with the only instance being the lead singer - Lily Fontaine - asking if we were enjoying the show and something along the lines of “how are you doing tonight, Brighton?”, this did not lead to a lack of stage presence in the slightest.
There are gigs you attend and then there are gigs you feel. Sophie and the Giants delivered the latter - a show that felt intimate, full of energy and genuinely special.
