Listening to Sunday (1994) feels like witnessing some ethereal occurrence, a moment where everything gains a soft, melodic touch. The line between reality and endless daydreams starts to blur, and then you begin to hear the opening of “Devotion”.

London-based pop artist Alfreda made the journey up to the Deaf Institute in Manchester on the 15th March. Featuring support from Brit School alum Eden Hunter, the show featured a whirlwind of costume changes, unreleased singles and anthemic pop numbers belted out by devoted fans. 

Eden Hunter is a multifaceted artist, songwriter, actor and model whose work fuses timeless pop with character-driven storytelling. With a theatrical flair and a sharp narrative voice, Hunter has become known for blending her love of the stage with a modern pop sensibility. An alum of the Brit School, Hunter enjoys a successful songwriting career, with credits including RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, Global All Stars, and UK Vs The World.

A crowd of indie pop lovers take to North London to watch Del Water Gap’s headline show at Roundhouse – playing on the iconic St Patrick’s Day as part of his UK and Europe run of the Chasing The Chimera World Tour. The show is nothing short of fan favourites, an impromptu Goo Goo Dolls cover, and intense light shows in perfect synchrony with each song.

I should’ve known this was going to be a great night the second “Come On Eileen” started playing before Eileen Alister even stepped on stage. It’s such an iconic choice that, at that point, the bar was already high. And somehow she still cleared it easily.
