Brixton Academy was rocked by Hard Life last night, with the venue sold out for their first London performance since changing their name from Easy Life.

The opener, Woody, came to the stage at 8:00 pm to hype the crowd up for the main act. They were full of energy and sounded awesome. I definitely see big things for them in their future and hope to catch their show again.

Hard life kicked off at 9:00 pm It was evident that their devoted fan base was as strong as ever, responding with such high energy, singing along to every word as they opened with “Tears,”. The track that addresses their legal battles and name change head-on. The set kept the energy high and the audience interested by skilfully blending new tracks from their new album ONION with classic favourites like “skeletons” and “sangria”

The performance reached its emotional climax with “End Credits.” It was an honest and heartfelt message to the fans, a sincere moment that captured their recent journey. Hard Life proved that they are here to stay and will always come back bigger and better. The band closed with the words, “If this is my end credits, I think it’s alright.” We all did too.
