Manchester’s Elliot James Reay has joined Benson Boone on the UK and European leg of his American Heart world tour, following a hugely successful summer supporting Boone across the U.S.
Earlier this year, Reay released his debut EP, All This to Say I Love You, a swoon-worthy collection that pays homage to the sounds of the 1950s and ’60s while reimagining them for a modern audience.
The record blends timeless rock ‘n’ roll with contemporary polish, showcasing how effortlessly Reay bridges past and present and making vintage sounds feel current. Drawing from legends like Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley, he captures the heart and drama of their era with a distinctly modern touch.
Reay’s love for the ’50s extends beyond just the music. Raised in Bury, outside Manchester, he fell in love with every aspect of 1950s culture, from the music and fashion to the hopeful energy of the time. As a teenager, he spent his time thrifting vintage clothes and performing in the town centre, charming passersby with his voice
After raising over £2,000 in a single day fundraising to support victims of the 2017 Manchester tragedy, a then-15-year-old Reay realized just how powerful music could be in bringing people together.
Early in his career, critics and naysayers told Reay to change his sound to succeed. But he trusted his vision and bet on himself, and it paid off. His authentic and heartfelt performances and retro-inspired sound earned him more than 5 million followers and hundreds of millions of views. His growing audience spans generations and continents, united by a shared appreciation for music that transcends time.
