Isaac Anderson brought a burst of energy to Cracow’s Zaścianek on November 24th, turning a regular Monday evening into a night full of connection and genuinely good music.
While there was little audience interaction, with the only instance being the lead singer - Lily Fontaine - asking if we were enjoying the show and something along the lines of “how are you doing tonight, Brighton?”, this did not lead to a lack of stage presence in the slightest.
There are gigs you attend and then there are gigs you feel. Sophie and the Giants delivered the latter - a show that felt intimate, full of energy and genuinely special.
There are concerts you attend, and then there are concerts you survive. Lorde’s Ultrasound World Tour stop at the O2 sits firmly in the second category — a 90-minute emotional MRI that scans every inch of you, prints out the bruised parts, and whispers, yes, babe, I’ve been there too.
Even the band was stunned by how loud and passionate the audience was. Frontwoman Rhian Teasdale, after just a few songs, said, “Royal Albert Hall… what the fuck,” as she looked out at the crowd. That moment summed up the entire night.
