In an intimate venue filled with fans, Paris Paloma took to the stage at Hoxton Hall on the 31st August.
She was greeted by fans who looked admiringly up at her, adorned with ribbons, flowers, and extravagant outfits. By the time the show was halfway done, nearly everyone around me was either crying or tearing up – and I am not surprised: they all knew this was going to be the last time they would hear the Cacophony album live. Even Paris, herself, was affected with her tearing up before the third song was sung and declaring that she ‘didn’t know how I [she] was going to make it through’ the show!

She brought the performance to a close with her unreleased song ‘Good Boy’ which was ended with Paris leaving the stage and a countdown being projected; when the countdown reached 0, Emma Thomson’s voice echoed out reading the words “I knew that one day I’d have to watch powerful men burn the world down, I just didn’t expect them to be such losers”. It was then announced that ‘Good Boy’ would be released September 19th, which had the same reaction all around Hoxton Hall: excited cheers and screams.
Instead of immediately leaving the venue in an attempt to make the last trains, Paris’ fans began fairy dancing hand in hand in a circle around the hall, then in pairs. What a beautiful and fitting way to end not just the ‘Goodbye Cacophany’ acoustic show, but the ‘Cacophany’ era as a whole.
