Mark your calendars for September 5th, because that’s when the new EP, Glad We Met by Avery Lynch, arrives via RECORDS. 

In the days leading up to the announcement, Lynch revealed the project in an interactive way through her Discord community, “ave & friends.” Fans were invited to DM her the word “puzzle” to receive one of 16 pieces of a mystery image. Working together, the community assembled the whole puzzle, which unveiled the new project ahead of the public reveal. 

The EP, which is the first record she’s ever co-produced, follows the love story Avery has been dedicated to for over five years. From heartbreak and starting over, to ultimately falling in love again.

Alongside previously released singles like “Rain,” “the boys who don’t know what they want,” “think about it,” “Dead to Me,” “Lasting Effects,” and “Sweetheart,” alongside several new songs. It closes with the heartfelt title track, ‘I’m Glad We Met,’ which Avery says “tells the story of meeting my significant other, where we’ve been, and where we are now.”

Lynch discovered her passion for music at the age of seven, writing her first songs on the piano in her hometown of Pennsylvania. She now lives in Los Angeles, but her creative process remains the same. Sitting alone at the piano, she builds the foundations of songs that later take shape with the support of her collaborators.

Known as the “happy girl filled with sad songs,” Avery makes intimate and relatable music inspired by her life and the world around her. Her powerful storytelling has not only won praise from critics at Ones To Watch and EARMILK but has also amassed a dedicated following, propelling her to over 130 million streams and 400,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
