Dermot Kennedy’s powerful voice seemed right at home on the big stage at the O2 Arena.

With a stage set up like a forest, and various supporting musicians and a small choir, Kennedy created a rich backdrop that perfectly complemented his emotional songs. Despite the large venue and the thousands of fans, Kennedy made his set feel intimate and invited his fans into his own world. He recounted the stories behind his songs with a real sense of warmth and genuineness, apologising briefly for talking too much. Between moving from one stage to the other, a voice message from his mum played, adding another touching and deeply personal moment to the show.

By the time he closed the night with ‘Power Over Me’ and ‘Funeral’, the O2 Arena felt less like a massive venue and more like a shared living room, filled with fans who had truly experienced his heart and soul.
