Ellur Releases Debut Album At Home In My Mind

Words by Paulina Zawicka

Halifax indie-pop artist Ellur has released her debut album, At Home In My Mind, via Dance To The Radio, marking a major step for the Yorkshire songwriter following a steady rise built on word-of-mouth buzz and critical praise.

Described as a candid and coming of age document, At Home In My Mind is an intimate exploration of Ellur’s inner world. Produced by Joel Johnston in Leeds, the record expands on the emotional honesty of her earlier God Help Me Now EP, centring on themes of connection to childhood memories, to evolving self understanding, and to anyone searching for reassurance in uncertain years.

Raised in Calderdale Valley, Ellur pulls together the sounds that have shaped her, from 90s indie rock to folk leaning introspection with subtle experimental touches. Across previously released singles including “The World Is Not An Oyster,” “Dream Of Mine,” “The Wheel” and “Missing Kid,” she pairs confessional songwriting with warm, melodic hooks.

Ellur has described the album as everything she wished she could have said when she was younger. It’s a project rooted in self-discovery and emotional clarity. The result is a naturalistic, human record that feels both deeply personal and openly inviting.

With a hometown album launch in Hebden Bridge and UK tour dates running through April – including stops in London, Glasgow, Bristol and Sheffield, plus festival appearances at Kendal Calling and Camp Bestival – At Home In My Mind arrives as a confident introduction to an artist finding her voice, and extending a hand for others to find theirs alongside her.
